To offer admission under MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses in govt colleges, MCC conducts NEET counseling. Counseling is conducted in online mode for which candidates need to register online. MCC is responsible for counseling 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats.
MCC conducts counseling for 100% seats of all central universities, 100% seats of all deemed universities and 15% seats of all state govt colleges.
Candidates have to carry the original and attested photocopies of the following documents to the allotted college for verification:
After registration, candidates are asked to pay a NEET counseling fee. Online modes like Credit card/Debit card/Net banking are available for the payment of the fee.
After each round of counseling, the seat allotment result is released by MCC in the form of a list. Seat allotment letter is issued to the selected candidates and they have to report to the allotted college with the allotment letter and the documents.
The candidates have to report to the allotted college after being allocated a seat in the counseling for verification of the documents and confirmation of seat. If any candidate, after allocation of the seat, fails to report to the allotted college within a given time then the seat for that candidate will be canceled.
There are a total of two rounds for govt colleges in NEET counseling. The steps in each round are as follows:
After counseling round 2, every vacant seat of govt college will go to their respective state quota. If a candidate got admission through counseling round 2, he or she will not be eligible for any further counselings.
